Dream - If you consider the Burj Al Arab as the best skyscraper, you are wrong. Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) through appreciation, CTBUH 2015 Annual Awards has named a skyscraper in Abu Dhabi, the United States, Italy and Singapore as the best tall building in the world.
From 123 skyscrapers in the 33 countries, CTBUH selecting each one of the four regions in the world.
Citing Arabianbusiness pages, Saturday, June 27, 2015, the winners for 2015 are Mohammed Bin Rashid Burj Tower in Abu Dhabi representing the Middle East and Africa.
Followed by One World Trade Center in New York as a finalist in the Americas region, Bosco Verticale in Milan, Italy represents Europe, and CapitaGreen in Singapore was a finalist Asia and Australasia.
All winners "Best Tall Building Worldwide" will be announced at the Annual Awards CTBUH 14th Symposium at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, on 12 November.
According CTBUH, this year's selection is the most competitive, with winners chosen from 123 candidates. The number of participants has increased nearly 40 percent from 2014.
Symposium in Chicago will feature a series of presentations from each building owner and architect selected.
Winners and finalists will also be featured in the CTBUH Awards Book is published every year.
